Terrain Flight

Terrain Flight NZ Ltd is a new business in Canterbury New Zealand. We specialise in aerial photography taken with the world leading drone called Ebee, made by a Swiss company Sensefly. This lightweight drone can produce heavyweight sub 3cm resolution imagery for a variety of industries and applications.

The Ebee has a fully automated flight plan that is produced from its own flight planning software Emotion 2. This ensures a completely autonomous flight, taking images at predefined locations, recording geo location and images before landing totally autonomously!

Coupled with the Ebee is processing software  Pix4D, a world leading image software developer.
With this software imagery can be transformed into 3D visualisation, geo-referenced orthomosaic photo maps, Digital Terrain Models and many more. Many of these files are compatible with most leading GIS and survey software.

Near Infrared (NIR) imagery can be taken of crops for NDVI indexing which enables shape files to be produced for introduction into most Precision Agricultural applications.

NIR imagery is used to measure reflected Near Infrared light from the plant. High reflectance equals high chlorophyll levels which in turn means healthy plant. This works due to the way that healthy plants and unhealthy plants reflect light from the sun.

Postflight Terra3D software allows for a total drone to tractor workflow for most leading Precision Ag software.
